The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Sargodha was formulated in 1968 under the West Pakistan BISE (Multan and Sargodha) Ordinance. After the inauguration it started work on rented buildings and later on, in 1975 it got its own permanent building. Currently BISE Sargodha board has authority over Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar districts and it is considered a primary board for the organization of exams at secondary and higher secondary level.
