Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) announced admission date for Autumn 2014. The students seeking admission in SSC to Ph.D level programs could now submit their admission forms till September 19 without any late fee charges. The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Special Task Group (STG) held today under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Abdul Hafeez. Those who attended the meeting includes, Director Admissions, Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain, Controller of Exams, Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi, Chairman, Iqbal Studies Department, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran, Director Academic Planning & Course Production, Mrs. Arifa Salman and Computer Incharge, Mrs. Shabnam N. Shahid.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Extended Admission Date for Autumn 2014 Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the date for submission of the admission forms till September 19 ,2014 owing to prevailing political crisis in the country.The admission forms along-with prescribed fee could be submitted in countrywide branches of Bank Al-Falah, Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and at the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses as well as in the Regional Offices. He said that fee in shape of bank draft/pay order will not be accepted at any case.
According to Director Admissions, AIOU has set-up points for sale of admission forms at its main campus in Islamabad and at its 44-Regional Campuses and 122-Coordinating Offices across the country in order to facilitate the students at their door-steps while the admission forms for M.Phil and Ph.D admissions can be downloaded from the University’s website www.aiou.edu.pk.
Ph.D, MS/M.Phil, M.Sc (Statistics), COL (MBA/MPA) and LLM/MS Shari’ah have been offered on merit basis, all those interested for admissions in these programs should send their admission form directly to their concerned departments without admission fee according to the procedures laid down in the prospectus, he added.
